I'm going to relate various things that have happened in my life. Some funny, some political, some religious but all true accounts as I can remember them. I do this so that there will be a record of the things that have happened to me for my children and grandchildren.
Story 1 -- Religious
I worked at the local hospital in Helena on the evening shift. I was trained to be a ward clerk, orderly, aid, so that I could fill in various roles for whomever was needed. There were two patients that I remember. One was a lady that came in. She was in her 40's maybe, obese, and had to be tied down. She fought her restraints and was constantly twisting and turning out of bed. One evening I walked in the room intentially and my hair was on end. I looked at her and in a forceful voice I asked her what her name was. She told me "I have no name." I looked at her harder and said "Come out of her in the name of Jesus Christ!" At that moment an aid came in behind me and I left the room (I wasnt sure exactly what I should have done). The next day I was doing my work and had to go into her room and she was sitting calmly in bed. She said "There is that preacher!" when I came in the room and she never had another problem during her stay as far as I know.
The other patient was an elderly man that couldnt use his arms and had to be fed. That same night I went into his room but it seems normal and he only asked me to leave because it was awkward me and him staring at each other.
I called my pastor to come and visit with me so I could talk about this incident but he didnt like me at the time (although he did visit me). He gave me a lecture about carrying around Bibles (I had two with me I was halfheartedly studying) and told me I was on my way out. I think I stayed with that church another 3 years and drove the chruch van for 2 years lol.
A blog about me and my life. Stages that I'm going through, struggling with weight loss, dealing with a disability, family growing older and farther apart.
