A blog about me and my life. Stages that I'm going through, struggling with weight loss, dealing with a disability, family growing older and farther apart.

Anyway since I wasn't working I came over to mom's to visit her and cook supper for her and me. I fried some pork chops, cooked some potatoes with onion and butter, and cooked some cut green beans. Mom has had a bad headache a couple of days and has slept all day. I feel miserable myself with a swollen chin. The days are dark so early now that it depresses me some also.

Today I didn't go to work. I had an ingrown hair on my chin that shrunk back into the skin when I tried to remove it. I kept squeezing it and it became infected. Now I have a huge boil there. I was going to go to the doctor for some antibiotics but when I called my aunt from whom I'm renting the trailer she said her mom was going to send her some antibiotics and that I could have them. I readily agreed saving me the cost of the office visit and medicine. Anyway I got the medicine and am taking it. The boil is oozing infection out of it and I have squeezed it more and it is quite nasty.

Stages of Life...
Believe in Jesus Christ.
My name is Jason Adams. I'm a Christian. I'm a white male, 37 years old, tall, fat, moderately good looking. I've included a photo of me. Currently I worked for a construction company as a truck driver. I drive a belly dump truck hauling sand and dirt to build a two lane road edition to the two lane already running through my hometown. I usually work 10 hours a day Monday-Friday except for when it rains. Saturday and Sunday are usually free days for me.
In my free time at nights I watch a lot of tv, type emails on my computer, play games, sometimes have a drink of alcohol. I like the tv shows Mash, Stargate SG-1, the news. For movies I like Lost in Translation, the Fifth Element, the Postman, the Hulk, Spider-man, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
My mother is going blind with retinitis pigmentosa and I cook meals for her, read her the newspaper, help keep her meds straight. We argue sometimes but it's been a joy to be home taking care of her needs.
I'm a fair cook. Give me a fire, a pan, and some oil and I can fry almost anything. It's contributed to my being a large man.
I live about 8 hours from New Orleans but it's almost like being in another country for me. All of my needs are met within a 20 minute drive (15-20 miles) and I rarely have to go farther than that for anything. I did meet several survivors of the New Orleans flood who had family living here in my home town. O I live in Marvell Arkansas... a small town near Helena which is in east central Arkansas by the Mississippi River.
I may be changing jobs in the near future. I worked as a houseparent for teen boys for 5 years for a Christian facility and am working on seeing if they would hire me as a weekend relief worker for their staff.
I own and drive a 1994 Forest Green Ford Taurus. It's hit two deer and has the side smashed in and half a front bumper. The interior is great and the engine is in good shape and it runs well so I'll keep it for a while. It's paid for which is a great bonus for me.
I've got a digital camera that I was taking to work. The dirt and sand messed it up so I can't tell what my photos look like until I get home to my computer. If there is something I talk about that you'd like a photo of tell me and I'll try to take it for you.
I've rambled enough maybe. Tell me of yourself.

Things are well here. I've moved into my small trailer. It is cozy, quiet, and in the countryside. I spent the week and weekend fixing this and that and making it more livable.
I just heard on the news about the earthquake in Pakistan. I have a friend there and I hope he and his family have survived and are doing good. I also have a couple of friends in India also hit by the earthquake. I don't think they live so far north but I'm not good on geography either. has video and photos of the earthquake. I was so very sad to hear about all the children that died and/or were injured in the schools.
This weekend was our annual street fair named the King Biscuit Blues Festival. We have blues artists come to perform as well as vendors and street markets. Everyone goes from the surrounding area to meet old friends and see if we know anyone else there. I took mom Friday night. I didn't see anyone that I knew. We ate bbq, catfish, soup, and corn and wandered up and down the street. As with a lot of things here the festival wasn't as good as it was in the past. It was only three blocks long whereas the last time I went it was 7 blocks long on two streets. I've included a photo of this years festival.
