A blog about me and my life. Stages that I'm going through, struggling with weight loss, dealing with a disability, family growing older and farther apart.

Alaska Job Center Network

Alaska Job Center Network

I poured over this website a couple days ago. There were several jobs that interested me if I didn't have obligations. I could be a police officer in a little hamlet in the middle of nowhere for $28 an hour with benefits in Alaska at least for a couple of years.

I also thought about going back to nursing school to get my Registered Nurse license but I don't really like working with sick people.

Alaska has been on my mind a lot lately. I'm 37. I watched a show on the public TV about a man who lived alone in Alaska for a year. In my Fur-Fish-Game magazines there are several trappers from Alaska who contribute stories about trapping in the wild. I've always been a fan of the pioneer days of mountain men and trapping legends. I've got 40-50 sites in my favorites about trapping and think if I stay in Marvell I'm going to run a trapline this fall in my old hunting grounds.
